From a script to a finished cut.
Genlock orchestrates every step of pre-production from a single source of truth on your disk. Here's the whole journey.
You start with a working production, not a blank page.
Every install seeds The Last Frequency — 2 acts, 4 scenes, 12 shots, seeded cast and locations, working BONEs, and agent-ready docs. Walk the steps below inside it before starting your own story.
Choose a workspace
On first launch the Setup Wizard scaffolds your workspace folder, picks a media pool, and installs the CLAUDE.md agent skill. Everything lives on your disk.
Script → structure
Create a project and build chapters → scenes → shots in the Story Editor, or import a .fountain screenplay. Your story is saved as open .SKEL YAML.
Shots + BONEs
In the Shot Editor, set v_setup camera tokens and attach BONEs. Watch the assembled prompt build live, toggling between natural language and JSON.
Drive any provider
Send to Higgsfield or OpenAI Codex in-app (Universal), or copy the compiled prompt to any external generator (Free). Jobs run non-blocking.
Approve & assign
Results land in the Generations Queue. Approve an image as a start/end frame or asset; add a video as a take. The prompt is kept with every asset.
Video & continuity
Drive video bones from approved frames. Frame chaining passes shot N’s end frame to shot N+1, so continuity carries across every cut.
Timeline & audio
Assemble on the dual-monitor NLE with V1–V4 plus dialogue/SFX/music tracks. Watch the cut in the Production Player.
Export the bundle
Export nested JSON, a flat shot CSV, media and prompt manifests, and a production-status report for editorial handoff.
The governed spine keeps it honest.
At every step, the capability matrix tells you what your machine can actually do, BONE readiness badges tell you which shots can generate today, the decision log records every consequential choice, and the cost ledger keeps generation spend visible — observe, warn, or cap.
Every file stays yours.
No step requires Genlock's servers. Your story, characters and keys never leave the machine.
